Marijuana Doctor– A Marijuana doctor is a physician that believes in the therapeutic value of cannabis as a medicine. A Marijuana Doctor can be seen as the gate keeper to the medical marijuana world and without a recommendation you would not be eligible for a medical marijuana card. There are currently 18 states and the District of Columbia (D.C.) that implement Marijuana Doctors.

Marijuana Card– A Marijuana card can be compared to a driver’s license except that it lasts only for a year and its main purpose is to purchase cannabis. One can only obtain a marijuana card with a written recommendation from a Marijuana Doctor. With a marijuana card you would be able to purchase cannabis legally at a marijuana dispensary.

Marijuana Dispensary– A Marijuana dispensary can be compared to a cannabis based pharmacy. In other words one can purchase marijuana from these places only if you have a valid marijuana card. Marijuana dispensaries provide a wide range of cannabis based products in order to provide an easy and safe access point for patients in search of medical marijuana.
